Honesty at its best

Five stars. Chris came by our home in Palatine to do a review of ten windows we thought we needed to replace in three bedrooms....based on water pooling on the window bases, and inconsistent temperatures in the bedrooms. Quick solve: he instructed us to get an HVAC service into check out the system that was installed in the early 90's when our home was built. There appears to be some outdated equipment here and that's not providing the correct levels of humidity we need to alleviate the water. And yes, I have spent time adjusting the settings of the humidifier based on outside temps. His recommendation to replace our current windows was only to solve for higher efficiency in our heating and cooling - keeping external cold and hot air out, and keeping heat and AC in. He confirmed there is no need to replace our windows now to achieve that, and just stick with what we have. Long story short: an overdue HVAC service will be more affordable for us than replacing windows. I was embarrassed for wasting his time, but thanked Chris several times for providing an honest POV and not selling just to sell. I appreciate this so very much. When the time does come for replacement, Chris and WindowWorks get the first call for service.
